A passcode is required. It must be at least five (5) characters long. Make sure the passcode you choose is something you remember, such as your lunch number.
The word select in this article should be considered synonymous with tap, touch, or pressing enter on the virtual or physical keyboard.
- When the Password Requirement dialog appears, select Change Passcode.
- Enter the passcode that you want to use and select Continue. Ensure this is a passcode you can remember, such as your lunch number.
- Re-enter the passcode and select Set Passcode.
Your passcode is now set.
If you forget your passcode, you must email the Help Desk so they can help you.
If you want to use a fingerprint to unlock your iPad, go to Settings>Touch ID & Passcode. Select the Add a Fingerprint option and follow the onscreen instructions.
